I am called to both the British Columbia and Ontario Bars, giving me insight into the family law frameworks of both provinces. This perspective is particularly valuable when navigating inter-jurisdictional issues or considering moves between B.C. and Ontario. You benefit from informed guidance across both legal landscapes.
-
My goal is to help you move forward — not to prolong conflict for its own sake. I take a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach that prioritizes long-term stability. By focusing on resolution wherever possible, I aim to reduce unnecessary stress and help you reach favourable outcomes.
-
While many family law matters can be resolved outside the courtroom, some require formal court intervention. I have appeared before the Supreme Court of British Columbia, Provincial Court of British Columbia, Ontario’s Superior Court of Justice, and Ontario Court of Justice in applications, conferences, and motions. When negotiation or mediation is not effective, I am prepared to advocate for you through the court process.
-
I have worked with clients facing family violence, addictions, and other forms of complex trauma. My practice is guided by trauma-informed principles, with an emphasis on safety, respect, and clear communication. I strive to create a supportive environment where you feel heard and empowered throughout the legal process.
-
I recognize and respect the diversity of relationships and family structures within our community. My practice is inclusive of 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and families, with an understanding of the legal issues that may arise in different contexts. My goal is to provide informed, respectful, and compassionate legal support to all clients.
